Shortcuts
You can perform certain interactions with the extension when the popup is closed. Here are the default shortcuts.
| Name | Shortcut for Linux/Windows | Shortcut for Mac |
|---|---|---|
| Enabled/Disable Extension | Ctrl + Shift + , | ⌘ + Shift + , |
| Open the extension popup | Ctrl + Shift + . | ⌘ + Shift + , |
| Activate Data X-Ray | Ctrl + Shift + K | ⌘ + Shift + K |
The shortcut that opens the extension follows the where tweak opens preference: the popup, the floating window or the tweak tab, whichever you picked.
In the popup
| Name | Linux/Windows | Mac |
|---|---|---|
| Search rules | Ctrl + K | ⌘ + K |
In the code editor
These work while a payload or hook editor has focus.
| Name | Linux/Windows | Mac |
|---|---|---|
| Find | Ctrl + F | ⌘ + F |
| Find and replace | Ctrl + H | ⌘ + Alt + F |
| Toggle line comment | Ctrl + / | ⌘ + / |
| Add next occurrence to selection | Ctrl + D | ⌘ + D |
| Fold the block under the cursor | Ctrl + Q | Ctrl + Q |
| Outdent | Shift + Tab | Shift + Tab |
In the find panel, Enter and Shift + Enter step through the matches, Aa toggles case sensitivity and Esc closes it. Replace works on the first 500 matches at a time, so on a very large payload running it twice is expected.
Commenting is a no-op on a JSON payload, which has no comment syntax. ⌘ + H and ⌘ + Tab are
not available on Mac: macOS takes both before the page can see them.
Inside a hook, the names tweak gives you — response, url,
method, body, headers, vars, chance, _ — are painted in the accent colour, so it is
obvious which ones you must not rename.
See your shortcuts in tweak
The defaults above are only where you start. To see the shortcuts your browser has actually bound, open Settings > Shortcuts from the â‹® menu: it lists every command with its current key combination, and "Not set" for one that has none (a default that clashed with another extension, or one you cleared).
Edit shortcuts
The browser keeps extension shortcuts on a page of its own. On Chrome and Edge, the Edit shortcuts button in Settings > Shortcuts takes you straight there, and the list in tweak updates when you come back. You can also get there by hand, below the instructions per browser.
Edit shortcuts on Chrome
- Navigate to chrome://extensions/shortcuts in your browser.
- Locate tweak in the list of extensions.
- Specify a new shortcut by clicking on the edit icon
Edit shortcuts on Firefox
- Navigate to about:addons in your browser.
- Click the at the top, and pick "Manage Extension Shortcuts".
- Locate tweak and change the setting by clicking on the targeted shortcut and typing the new key combination.
